Kate Zemek

Hey there! I'm Kate Zemek, your go-to person for all things operation at One Pet. My journey started with a deep dive into Molecular Genetics at The Ohio State University (go Buckeyes!), then onto mastering Leadership and Development at the University of Pittsburgh, and finally, I topped it off with a PhD in Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Wellness from Arizona State University.

What do I do? Well, as VP of Operations at One Pet, I handle Supply Chain, Operations, Product Development, Quality Assurance & Control, and Regulatory. It's a lot, but I thrive on finding creative solutions and making things work smoother and better, especially when the going gets tough. I've had a blast as the owner of Cactus Pacific Consulting and doing this at places like BARK, Zenwise Health, Zesty Paws, Charlotte’s Web, and SmartyPants Vitamins.

My mantra? It's all about adapting and finding the best way to bring out the strengths in my team. It's something I picked up from my time studying leadership and student learning. And when I'm not steering the ship at work, you'll find me cheering for Ohio State Football, hitting the running trails, practicing yoga, or diving deep into meditation – I'm even a Reiki Master!
